This Italian white blend was a cellar lottery winner that I pulled out for a Monday night dinner.
It was perfect with the potato crusted cod and green beans (H-E-B ready meal).
It had a lemon meringue smell and a buttery flavor like a chardonnay.
Final Thoughts
I was supposed to get peach, tropical fruit and honeysuckle according to the reviews I read – but since it was rated by James Suckling as “drink now” in 2018 (91 points) I may have left it too long in the cellar.
Regardless it was good with the meal – which was not filling. So, I made some eggplant fries – and the wine paired amazingly well with those.
