Ron Yates 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

Finally cracked open one of the two bottles of the Ron Yates (more) Cabernet Sauvignon I brought home from my trip last fall. I still agree with my initial short review, which you can find here.

This won gold at the Lone Star International Wine Competition in 2022.

It tastes like your typical cabernet sauvignon with good berry flavor and a nice deep color.

Final Thoughts

It’s not like me to not write notes about how the wine paired with each of the foods I’m eating. However, judging by the amount of blank space in my notebook, I simply decided to enjoy this one. It obviously paired well, or I would have noted it.

Maybe I’ll write a more detailed review with the next bottle… or maybe I’ll just enjoy it on its own one Friday night.

Not familiar with my philosophy on wines or ranking system. Check them out here.
