A blog about a southern girl and wine…
Grits and Wine
f you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I love rosé with take-out Chinese food. The Reddy Vineyards Rosé was a Texas Wine Club selection.
This Sandy Road 2022 Sangiovese Rosé had almost no pink color to it. But you could taste the deep fruit flavor.
Another great vineyard introduced to me by the Texas Wine Club. Enoch’s Stomp is located in East Texas between Longview and Marshall.
This was a new wine type for me, and I’m grateful to the Texas Wine Club for introducing it, and Bell Springs to me.
This was a Texas Wine Club selection. The Reserve Barbera from Texas Heritage Vineyards was a surprise.

This was a Texas Wine Club selection, but I had tried the 2021 vintage during a tasting at the winery. How’d they compare?
I picked this up during my fall trip through the Hill Country when I stopped at Lewis Wines. It’s a Mourvèdre from Phillips Vineyard in the Texas High Plains. I decided to pair it with a Thanksgiving style dinner.
I picked up this bottle during the Gainesville Wine walk and was really looking forward to enjoying it.
