Unfortunately, Cicada Cellars (link) is closing April 2024. So this post is more to tell you what I enjoyed so you can try and grab a few bottles before they are gone.
MTM – Mourvèdre-Tannat-Merlot
This is very berry forward in both scent and taste. The fruit flavor went well with the tomato sauce and the rest of the veggie pizza brought out the spice in the wine. Worth grabbing a bottle for a Wednesday night.
Bourbon Barrel No. 3
This is petite sirah and malbec that is blended and aged in Garrison Brothers Bourbon Barrels. This went well with the takeout BBQ baked potato – but honestly it’s great to drink on its own – in front of the fire on a Friday night with a good book.
