I picked up this bottle during the Gainesville Wine walk and was really looking forward to enjoying it. Unfortunately, I think this bottle may have had cork taint – as it tasted nothing like the wine I remember during the wine walk. It smelled flat, had an acetone top odor, with underlying odors of balsamic vinegar and leather. The taste was fruity with cassis and balsamic, but gritty. I guess this means I’ll just have to head out to the vineyard and give it another go.
