Måndagsbubblor (Monday Bubbles)

Nothing makes Monday better than bubbles. Especially when it’s your second week traveling. Alcohol is highly regulated in Sweden, so it’s been hard to make it to the Swedish version of the off license. Even harder is finding a Swedish wine.

I managed to find a Swedish sparkling from Skepparr Vineyards. It smells like Sweden to me. It smells like salt, Brie rind, and elderflower. It has a sharp flavor that is a little off putting at first… but with a bed picnic, it’s not bad. Strawberries smoothie it out, the sesame bread brings out the yeast, and it elevates the microwave schnitzel more than sparkling water.

Final Thoughts

Is it something I’d want all the time? No, but if the choice is Korbel or Xplosion, I’ll take Xplosion every time. Just don’t swirl the bubbles too much, as it goes flat easily.
