2023 – you were odd (365 days), and now 2024 will be even (366 days). 2023’s Ring of Fire will be totally Eclipsed in 2024.
And yet, the sun will rise. The sun will set. The grapes will grow and the weather will be as unpredictable as always. The harvest will come and go and the wine will continue to live in bottles and barrels. Nature changes, whether the year changes or not.
And so, as the Grits and Wine crew bid goodnight to 2023 much as we welcomed it – with bubbles and laughter – we look forward to what 2024 brings us. We will once again shuffle the cards and play by our version of the rules.
